A compulsory excursion to Indian Museum was organized by Zoology dept. Of our college on 20th July, 2024. This excursion is a mandatory part for semester-IV (CBCS) Zoology students for partial fulfillment of their Zoology practical syllabus. Total 27 students participated in this excursion. They were guided by Debolina Saha and Katha Mandal, the faculties from Zoology and ENVS department of our college respectively. Students visited different galleries of Indian Museum like Birds & Fish gallery, House of Invertebrates, Vertebrate gallery, gallery of Human Evolution, gallery of Ecosystem, Invertebrate Fossil gallery. These galleries are related to their theory syllabus. Apart from these they also visited the beautiful Botanical gallery, enchanting Egyptian gallery for their own interest. They clicked many photographs of different collections of the museum. They will make project report with the data they have collected on this visit. Students will submit their project report on the day of practical examination. The overall experience of this excursion was good and our students not only gathered knowledge but also enjoyed and became refreshed though this excursion.
