Academic Activities of the Department of Political Science at a Glance

  • Remedial classes- Remedial classes are conducted for students for weaker students to catch up with the others on a regular basis.
  • Group Discussions on completion of a module- After the completion of a particular module is done in a paper group discussions are held among students to help them understand the topics better.
  • Mentor-mentee program- Specific time given to deal with specific academic/non-academic issues tailor-made according to student needs.
  • Continuous Internal Evaluation- Continuous internal evaluations via short answer type questions, multiple choice questions and essay type questions are held to prepare the students for the main CU exams.
  • Spot quiz at the end of each semester- Quizzes are held for the students to test their level of preparations for the upcoming exams so that the students are aware of their weaker portions and can work on it better.
  • Blended mode of teaching- Students are encouraged to do Power Point presentations. Teachers also routinely share their Open Educational Resources (OER) and we encourage them to use open access educational literature available on Jstor, Blackwell, Taylor Francis, academia.org, Libgen and Inflibnet.
